Happy Holidays, Fellow Marketer:
Glad you could make it here to
Santa Sal's Christmas Giveaway! Hope you have a blast
receiving and downloading all your cool gifts.
Your time is valuable, so I
decided not to waste it by trying to come up with some smooth salescopy,
or psychological persuasion, or even hypnotic hyperbole
just to get you to sign up
to my list.
In fact--no offense intended--the truth is I don't
want you on my list if you're not interested in using
the power of video to retain traffic, build your own
mega-list,
convert more customers, and increase your profits.
Because that's my mission for 2008...
To
help business owners use professional video to market
their products and services more effectively online.
There have been a lot of changes
in just the past two+ years on the internet, and there
will be even more in the year and years ahead. VIDEO is
obviously a HUGE part of those changes.
And yet, so many marketers I
know are doing very little with it online.
Why is that??
Well, I have quite a few
suspicions,
but will only share two with you right now. See if you
can identify with either one of them.
First...
No
interest in being a YouTube Star!
In fact, they don't even want to
be on camera. For some, it's because they're just a bit
shy and self-conscious. But for others, they just aren't
interested. At all. It's not who they are.
Maybe that's you. Maybe your
desire to sit in front of a camera and then have your
mug plastered all over the internet, streaming into
strangers' living rooms around the world, is
non-existent.
Or perhaps the real reason you
aren't using video is because of the second thought I
have on this matter...
There's too much to buy and too much to learn!
Here's what you need to buy if
you want to have any level of quality in your videos: a
camera, microphone, tripod, lights, light stands,
green screen, animated backgrounds, editing programs,
and more.
And then, of course, you need to
learn how to use it all.
Not that I wouldn't encourage
you to buy all that gear and learn how to use it well.
It's great to learn and do new things.
But there's a difference between
wanting to learn, and being forced to
learn. Especially if the desire is not there in the
first place.
And let's face it... if you're
marketing anything online right now, you know the clock
is ticking on the lifespan of your plain text pages.
That's where I come in. Maybe
only temporarily until you have the money and time to
learn to use video yourself. Or possibly permanently, if
your desire to learn video is not there, and you see the
value in what I'm offering.
I could tell you about me right
here, but I don't want to take up too much more of your
time. I'd rather let my work speak for itself.
But I will tell you that I've
been a professional photographer and documentary
filmmaker, and as such, there's a variety of talents and skills
I have acquired,
along with an extensive library of video footage and
royalty free music that I'm wanting to put to work
for you.
How?
Let's start by giving you
one of my graphics that's both an Opt-in form and a

load fast. It has to, because it also contains a

What should you do with them?
Get both up on your site as soon
as possible, and see how it impacts your list building
efforts. There's a short window of opportunity, perhaps
two to three weeks, but it will be worth the effort.
Even if you already have video
on your site, there certainly should be a place for a

to download.
My hope is that you'll see the
